母亲节快乐,谢谢妈妈们!
B3 class kids had fun decorating the classroom and singing Happy New Year song!
Sunshine Students enjoy various activities we organize during the Chinese New Year to learn about Chinese culture.
We learn by studying, practicing, doing fun crafts together.
Chinese is, as many know, a tonal language. There are four tones: first tone is flat, second tone rises, third tone falls and then rises, and forth tone falls. Saying Chinese with correct tones is so important, but practicing one sentence over and over again is so boring, unless... they are making a "Movie" :) Our students find it can be fun and rewarding at the same time..
Our students love to practice what they learn by acting it out, make sure to check out the bloopers at end of the video.
Chinese Language does not have alphabets. There are only characters. Chinese characters range from 50,000 to 60,000, and 4000-5000 are used daily. They have to be memorized. However, there are methods and tricks to learn Chinese characters, knowing the basic structure, sound and origin of simple characters can help to learn more complicated ones. Our Sunday class kids have strong listening, speaking and reading skills. All of those are built on good vocabulary. Learning new words can be fun if you have smart and tricky classmates.
